Account Deletion Request

This page describes how you can request deletion of your Lawpatra account and the personal data we hold about you. Blingwork Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (“Lawpatra”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is the data fiduciary for your personal data under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), which includes your right to request erasure of that data.

You can request deletion of your Lawpatra account together with the personal data associated with it. If you do not want to close your account, you may instead request deletion of specific categories of data — for example, your AI tutor conversation history or your uploaded profile photo.

When we action a full account-deletion request, we delete the following:

• Account profile: name, email, phone, profile photo, date of birth, language preference, bio, and the exam(s) you are preparing for.
• Authentication records: one-time password (OTP) history and session records.
• Learning and performance data: test attempts, scores, accuracy, mock-test results, and confidence-score history.
• Leaderboard data: rank entries and historical rank movement tied to your account.
• AI tutor conversations: messages you sent to the AI tutor and the responses returned.
• User-generated content: notes, bookmarks, answers, and feedback.
• Uploaded media: any profile photo or other media you uploaded.

Some records cannot be deleted on request because we are legally required to keep them, or because they no longer identify you:

• Payment and invoice records: retained for up to 8 years as required under Indian tax / GST law and the Companies Act. After your account is deleted, these records are kept against a depersonalised reference.
• Anonymised or aggregate analytics: data that has been aggregated or stripped of identifiers so it can no longer be linked back to you.
• Records needed for legal or fraud purposes: information we must retain to respond to legal claims, regulatory orders, or to investigate suspected fraud or abuse.

Send us an email and we will process your request. To help us verify your identity, please email us from the address registered to your Lawpatra account, or include your registered mobile number in the message.

Please allow 3–5 working days for us to action your request after we receive it. We will acknowledge your email within 48 hours and complete the deletion within 30 days of verifying your identity, in line with the grievance timelines stated in our Privacy Policy.
